Card order
The Ace is the highest card of its suit. From high to low: Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7. In Kout Bo 6 the order goes on: 6, 5, 4, 3.
Hukm, the trump suit
حكم Hukm is the suit the highest bidder chooses. Any Hukm card beats any card of the other suits, however small. You must follow the suit led when you hold it; with none of it, you may play Hukm.
The Joker
The Joker is the strongest card: played into a trick, it takes it. You can play it at any time when following. You cannot lead a trick with it while you hold another card, and when it is your last card and you must lead it, it does not win.
Who takes the trick?
- The Joker, when it is played.
- Otherwise the highest Hukm card.
- Otherwise the highest card of the suit led.
In the dealer draw before the first round, the Joker counts as the lowest card. The full text is in the Bahraini Kout rules; to start from zero, see how to play Kout.
